This is a real show stopping hat! Layers of free-form  bias sinamay edged with crinoline. Hidden wires support the structure so it floats effortlessly. It is trimmed with silk abacca lilies and butterflies.
The hat is attached with a number of methods. An elastic goes around the back of the hairline. To stabilise the hat there are two ‘couture prongs ’ that hold the hat in place a the back of the head and finally a single comb at the front to stop the hat form skipping.
